Awesome, Emily! It seems our thought paths align quite a bit relative to this stuff!

So I managed to edit down the 15 minutes of video to just over two. I tried to grab the best representation of each piece, so I left out the pieces where we stumble.

The high hand target could use some work next to the wall and a little bit more time on shaping the flow, it's rather choppy. I think I should reward effort into movement, micro shaping of sorts, to build his confidence in it.

Just a tiny piece of the choose to heel, I need to use the long side of the room for this, but this was just to see how he felt at speed and to see what our final picture what might look like. I think I want to do a bit more of this with him to see if we can get some good flow and hit a nice point where he relaxes into movement.

Emily, check out your foot position relative to the perch at :18. Consider being a couple inches forward - more centered on the bucket.

Great vision and timing on that reward at :27. Looks like he got into a pattern of expectation there… nice job keeping him honest!

When the clip edited at :42 you were in a much better position relative to the bucket and Fal, in my opinion. Good save on the incoming dog prior to that:)

:48 was awesome! Sometimes you step first with your right foot and other times your left. I wonder if you made a slow step forward with the left if you could really capture the moment he both moves with you and stays focused. He’s playing the pattern a bit by searching out the hand after a bit of movement, so slowing down and holding the step longer will allow you to see both a bit easier. Just a thought.

:59! Yeah buddy! And 1:30!

It looks like you instinctually made adjustments to smooth out that initial step so you could diagnose his response more - great instincts. At it seemed to help. Breaking the pattern and holding the moment more. He’s getting clearer!

I like the ‘choose to heel’ work with lured help and think you should continue to play their a bit (along with the other piece work) until you feel like you find a rhythm for you both. In the clip before that on ‘raised hand target’ he didn’t seem as comfortable walking with you. However, in the more direct lure he looked better with it all. We’d like him to move under the raised lure as he would a lower more direct one. Try starting off with a lower lure and then raising your hand without releasing to give him an opportunity to move under the raised lure. Mark when he stays with it.

Looking good, Emily. Great adjustments in your session and way to keep building the detailed pieces!
