I used for getting the rithm a kuranda bed. But training on there also the stays seems to be contradictary in my case. My dogs use those beds as beds. So I think it's not good to train any stays in a certain position on thos beds. My command is "bed!" and then they have to remain there until I release them, but they can make themselves comfortable and choose every position they like.

When I try for example a sit stay I do this simply on the floor, in between on very different spots. Should I do this on another type of touch pad, using it only for the stays. I think it would be confusing for the dogs if I'd train this on their beds. They fullfill another purpose. That's why I there never give the command "Stay".

Can I not train the formal stays on all kind of different spots?
