Ed. Lucas seems a little unconvinced that he's dad hasn't gone totally barmy : )

Great work - :14 you did a great job of remembering to bring your hand in and down the mid line of your body to reward (I forget more than I remember).  About 1:20 you start to get a far straighter head rather than the tendency to check out your right hand first before checking in.  Between balancing left and right hand rewarding and speeding up reinforcement at around 1:17 onwards you got the result.  Well done.

Beautiful work - great timing and reinforcement for the attention from the side position!  Well done you both.

Thanks Leanne!!

You are spot on at :14, I didn't want to edit that bit of video, it shows the handler is also making some progress.

I actually have a polo shirt that says "My Belgian Shepherd is handler impaired but patiently training"

And yes I tried to reward from the opposite hand to balance that tendency to expect the rewards from one side.

I will be working on all those things before HT2.

Thanks for your feedback!

Looking good, Ed!

He's favoring that right hand a bit, so be sure to offset that by rewarding more from the left. Especially when he's inclined toward the right hand, when you do get focus, mark and feed from left. Check out the :33 mark - better if you feed from the left hand there because he was already expecting it from the right.

He's looking better in this spot - more comfortable than the first time. If you can pull him forward in position a bit more that would help. His shoulders past your knees will give him more room to raise his head. Something for you to consider. He comes out more at the 1:00 mark and has more room to raise that head!!!

Love the head position around the 1:40's!!! Great work, Lucas and Ed.

He's absolutely ready for more duration as well as distraction from the left hand, Ed. Go ahead and keeping plugging away at this, adding more temptation from the left, asking for longer focus, and rewarding handsomely. Great job!
