Ok, I laugh my head off! A dog who steels a cucumber!!! I feed mine on raw food diet, they also eat bananas, mangas, apples, tomatos, green cabage, yogurt... but with cucumbers I've never tried. Well they actually can't steel such things, because they're not allowed to enter the house (hubby's allergie). They respect this rule, but frankly I don't know how we taught it. Probably just by confronting them each time they tried and saying firmly and consistently "Fora!" (Portuguese for "Outside!").
To your question: I guess that here, they show us first the correct picture of what we want from the dog and how he should perform. This must first be clear in our heads in order we can make it clear for our dogs. I have not yet had the time to watch all modules, but I think they will show what you mean later on.
In other LB courses I have taken, they always showed it first how it should be. A bit later they also showed it with untrained or less trained dogs and also with students, who were learning. I hope this will come in this course too. Because watching, how other people and dogs are doing it including making mistakes and learning out of them is something very valuable for all of us. I absolutely agree.
