Slippie/Chris/Sit Prett and Food on the Floor

I am still a bit tipsy, (aftereffects of a feast yesterday). Watching the video I noticed my timing of the "isso" was not always good and two, three, or more times (not yet able to count properly) I think I even forgot it. Sorry about that!

Sit Pretty

I am training this with Slippie since last August. She would not do it all. I couldn't understand why, because the other two had no problems with this.
I do not know, if it was correct how I continued. I asked her to give me her paw and lifted it gradually higher until she had to lift the other paw too, then higher until she sat upright. Some day she seemed to understand and sat up by herself, but still needed the support of my legs for a long time.
I didn't dare to train this more than 3 times each day because of her weight (37 kg).
Later on I managed to move one leg away from her. Now she sits up on command quite quickly but still needs to stabilize herself with one paw. Can I go on like that or should I change something?

New miracle When filming today, she sat to my big surprise for a moment without support. The first time at all!

Food on the Floor

Not sure if I did it all correctly, but at least I'm very happy that she resisted the tentation.

Thanks

Christina

Hi Christina!

You crack me up!

The sit pretty works for me!  Using the feet helps to maintain balance, and it will fade over time, as you just said!

Great job with the food refusal!!  That is a wonderful example of the behavior in its finished product.

Great work, Christina!

Thanks so much, Mark! To keep the balance you'll experience the dreadful contrary next week.
