Leerburg Philosophy Inconsistent with Videos Examples

It is disheartening when we are taught things in certain modules and there are direct contradictions in other videos.  If we are paying for these courses I would expect some consistency across the board.  In my opinion, philosophy should be consistent across all videos, courses and articles... a few examples:

1) don't use a leash with a loop handle - they address it in the video but if they are teaching us not to use it, why would you shoot a video with a loop handled leash?

2) don't allow dogs to use interactive toys alone - in module 1 toy section we are taught not to leave the dog alone with tug toys, but in module 2 video called "Freedom while under control" we are taught we can leave a puppy in a puppy safe zone alone and the puppy is playing with a animal shaped tug toy!

3) Ed's written numerous time that he doesn't allow puppies to have freedom to roam his lawns, even though they are fenced.  He says that's for older dogs and that puppies should have outdoor time in ex-pens.  But in the "follow the leader" video, his puppy is dragging a line outside an ex-pen

This is so confusing to me as a new first time puppy owner.  I am picking up my puppy in a few weeks and I am paying money for these courses to clear things up but when I see these direct inconsistencies, it makes me wonder what other things aren't completely necessary...
