I was wondering about the different techniques that you used vs the other handler in the video. She seemed to always be rewarding by giving the food where as you rewarded by throwing the food. If the end game is for the dog not to eat off the floor it seems counter productive to throw the reward. Could you explain this a little more?

Hi Cathy,

As I spoke of in our chat last week, you want to get away from throwing the food ASAP.  I'm not sure which woman was giving the food, but you want to get to that point quickly.  I think 3 or 4 reps of throwing the food away(after your mark) will suffice.
