Marks Video. Hard to believe.

Of course I do believe it. But it is unimaginable for me, how your dog manages to restrain himself to steel your meal, capturing the great opportunity while you  diasappeared getting something to drink. In the exercises of this week, my dogs manage not to touch the food on the floor, but this I cannot imagine. How long about did you have to work on this?

Actually Christina that might have been Jeff....  But, my dog will dog the same thing.  Maybe not my female yet:)  It just takes reps, thats all.  They learn over time by clear and thoughtful teaching!

Hi Mark,

I just wanted to write, that you don't need to answer  my question any more, when I saw you already had. Imagine in between they've leaned it all three! I can put now a plate with very attractive food before their noses and walk away until they cannot see me any more and they don't steel a single piece. I was completely astonished. Hope Slippie will make it too, when we make the video.  I'm pretty confident she will.

Have a nice day

Christina I just saw your post after posting my video. You have set a high mark for me to follow! I see I need a lot more practice before I can leave that plate out!! Lindy

Thanks Lindy. Go on and try it. I'm sure you will soon succeed. I myself coulld not imagine, they would resist and certainly not so rapidly, I calculated with at least half a year! Obviously I underestimated the dogs. To be honest, I still do not trust them fully, because they sometimes watch the food in a manner "should I or should I not?) while I am unvisible.

Good luck

Lindy, I forgot to tell you, that I have taken the course already in August and since then I practised it with all three. I wanted to take the course again, because Slippie is much more difficultto train  than the other two. Needs a lot of patience and I willl have to put up with it, that some exercises, she will never do.

When I wrote "go and try" it, I did not mean to do this now immediately. Only when you see, your dog got it and you have worked enough on duration. Sorry if I created a misunderstandig.

It is all -as Mark says - a question of many reps.

Keep on! Your lovely dog will learn it.
