Through the course I learned the importance of reading and recognizing the K9 you are working with. How important it is to learn the negatives and line checking the K9. Also coming up to roads and intersections how to approach them and working the K9 in a manner to address the situations. Learning the variations in training and presentations for K9s. Also how important it is to run across distractions and articles along with running blind unknown tracks. All this knowledge I feel is going to improve the skills and knowledge I need to be a successful K9 handler who takes pride in tracking and the difficulties and pride in having a successful tracking K9.
