"What was most important to me were the lessons on redirection and the theory behind it. It really makes sense, and it was very helpful to see the short video clips within the lesson that demonstrate what Michael Ellis was talking about. It's been over 10 years since I trained my last GSD so this course was great at reminding me of some puppy lessons and giving me a new direction to take with the puppy coming into our lives in the next couple weeks. I appreciated the socialization lessons regarding not having to have the puppy interact with every person and animal it encounters but to praise just for being around people and animals. Paying attention to the puppy's body language to intervene before something could go haywire. So important.
I'm feeling much more confident in myself after watching this course that I have a direction to go forward when the puppy comes home.
Thank you for putting this together and making it affordable."

"In my opinion the most important aspect of balanced dog training is pre-emptive redirection because you as a dog owner can head off undesirable behaviors BEFORE they become a problem. I head Ellis say that this is the kind of training that good dog trainers use and this is my desire- to become a good dog trainer so that I can have years of enjoyment and fun with my new puppy patch.
I also really connected with the idea that to be a balanced trainer you need to do your dog training routine in ALL of the places you want the dog to interact in—the park, friends houses, on the street, etc. This is something that I will begin with now.
Thanks for the great overview of dog training 101. Ellis was concise and clear in his preview lessons."

"Puppy socialization is an essential aspect of raising a well-behaved and confident dog. Michael Ellis, a renowned dog trainer, teach an extensive course, covering various areas of socialization. Throughout this course, i learned how to expose puppies to different environments, people, and animals, making them comfortable and adaptable.
One of the key takeaways from the course is the importance of early socialization. Puppies have a critical period between three and fourteen weeks of age, during which they are most receptive to new experiences. Michael emphasizes the need to expose puppies to different sights, sounds, and smells during this period to prevent future behavioral issues.
Another critical aspect covered in the course is the use of positive reinforcement. Michael advocates for rewarding puppies for good behavior, rather than punishing them for bad behavior. Positive reinforcement helps build a strong bond between the puppy and the owner, making the training process more enjoyable and effective.
The course also covers the importance of socializing puppies with other dogs. Michael stresses that puppies should interact with dogs of different ages, sizes, and breeds to prevent fear and aggression towards other dogs in the future.
Overall, Michael Ellis's course on puppy socialization is a must-attend for anyone looking to raise a happy and well-behaved dog. The course covers critical aspects of socialization, including early exposure, positive reinforcement, and socialization with other dogs. By implementing the techniques taught in the course, owners can set their puppies up for a lifetime of success."
