Classes coming soon!

This class will give you a step by step guide to teaching the guard of object, a challenging exercise in the highest level of Mondio Ring or French Ring. Kevin Bain will show you how in a fun and force free way that both empowers the dog and leads to a clear understanding of the exercise. This method offers powerful ground work that can be started in very young puppies with just the handler, a reward and a touch pad and builds up to adding in the decoy and changing the object. This is an advanced exercise so it is helpful if you have an understanding of marker training and touch pads, but a review is offered in week 1. Kevin breaks this exercise down into fun, easy steps that gives the dog the ability to make correct choices which is very important since this exercise is the only one done without the handler on the field.

In this workshop, Tyler will emphasize the importance of softness and the value of creating a cooperative and mutually respectful relationship. Tyler will help trainers develop the skills necessary to train dogs effectively, gently and compassionately when the effects of reward based techniques are limited. The workshop will primarily focus on the use of body language, leash pressure, and the electronic collar, and will emphasize both the core principles that underlie all of these tools, along with the specific mechanics required for each.
