Hi Tami,

Great course! My puppy ,Rocky, is 8 months old. I have been using the verbal release "yes" for food and for the toy. I like the idea of breaking the markers into separate ones for food vs. toy. Is it too late to change that ? I don't want to confuse him. Thanks

I also use "yes" for food and toys with my dogs but I'm interested to see how splitting them up would work.  I wonder if different markers would make it easier to transition between food and toy.  Did you end up using separate markers for toys and food?

I can see the benefit of separate markers (Clicker vs Voice) while pairing with a different frame of mind (Thinking vs Reactionary). I had never thought of this before and am curious to see how it transitions during the training

I have also been using verbal "yes" as a marker for both, food and toy. I am wondering if it will confuse my dog if I separate the two after more than 1 year of practice.

Just starting with a new puppy. First time breaking marker for food or toy, seems to be a good addition. Thanks!

I've started really charging the clicker with my puppy but I was still using a verbal "yes" marker for food and toys. I'll definitely go back and start making some changes!
